ABOUT WOAH
Why WOAH exists.
Waves Optimized for Audio and Harmony
WOAH began after one observation changed everything. While much of the subwoofer community uses a consistent reference when tuning their systems, the music they play is engineered with completely different low-frequency philosophies. Every song asks the listener's system to behave differently.
WOAH exists to change that.
Rather than defining a genre, WOAH defines a standard. Artists remain free to create any style of music while sharing one engineering philosophy for the foundation of every mix.
What began as carefully engineered rebasses eventually became something larger: a platform for original music where consistency, musicality, and intentional low-frequency design are part of every release.
Three core principles
01 /
A shared standard
Every WOAH release follows the same low-frequency engineering philosophy, creating consistency across artists and genres.
02 /
Music theory first
Bass isn't created simply to make speakers move. Every note is chosen to support the harmony, rhythm, and emotion of the music.
03 /
Built for systems
WOAH music is engineered with the listener's playback system in mind. The goal isn't maximum loudness. The goal is controlled dynamics and predictable performance on well-tuned audio systems.
Join the WOAH Standard
WOAH welcomes artists from every genre who believe consistency and musicality matter. Whether you create jazz-hop, ambient, hip-hop, orchestral music, electronic music, or something entirely new, every release contributes to a growing catalog built on the same engineering philosophy.
While collaboration is welcomed, WOAH remains committed to protecting original creative work. The company's music is not intended to be re-uploaded, redistributed, or represented as another artist's original creation without permission. Official collaborations and licensing ensure every creator receives proper credit while giving artists the freedom to build something unique together.
As WOAH continues to grow, its mission remains unchanged: create music with purpose, engineer it with precision, and build collaborations that inspire listeners, creators, and artists alike.

WOAH Music Artist Agreement
Summary of key terms — the full agreement is provided at signup.
1 · You keep your rights. You retain full ownership and copyright of your music. You grant WOAH Music a non-exclusive license to host, stream previews of, market, and sell your tracks. You can sell the same music anywhere else, and you can remove it from WOAH at any time.
2 · 100% original work — no copyrighted material. Every track you upload must be entirely your own original creation. No samples, loops, melodies, lyrics, stems, or recordings taken from copyright-protected works, no unlicensed sample-pack content presented as your own, and no AI output trained to imitate a specific artist. Uploading infringing material is grounds for immediate removal, forfeiture of pending payouts related to that material, and account termination.
3 · Revenue split. You set the price. Payment-processing costs (e.g. Stripe's card fees) come off the top of each sale; of the remaining net, you receive 85% and WOAH Music retains 15% for hosting, streaming previews, delivery and platform operation. Payouts are issued automatically each month once your balance reaches $100 — or cash out your full balance early anytime for a flat $2.50 fee. Balances under the threshold roll forward and are never forfeited.
4 · What buyers get. Buyers receive a personal-use license (FLAC, WAV and MP3 downloads). Ownership of the underlying composition and recording stays with you.
5 · Takedowns. WOAH Music honors valid DMCA notices and may remove any content at its discretion. If your work is infringed by someone else on the platform, contact Thomas@woahmusic.com.
6 · Your responsibility. You represent and warrant that you own or control all rights in the music you upload, and you agree to indemnify WOAH Music against claims arising from a breach of that promise.
Prototype summary — not legal advice. The complete signable agreement is a separate document.
Licensing
What you're getting when you buy a track on WOAH.
Every purchase — the Personal License. Buying a track gives you a lifetime personal-use license: download it in the formats the artist offers (FLAC, WAV and/or MP3), keep copies on all your devices, burn it, put it in your DJ library, and play it anywhere personally. The artist keeps the copyright; you own your copy.
What personal use covers. Listening, DJ sets and live performance from your own library, and personal, non-monetized projects.
What it doesn't cover. Re-selling or re-distributing the files, uploading the track to streaming services or content libraries, using it in monetized videos, podcasts, games, apps or advertising, or sampling it into your own releases. Those uses need a commercial license from the artist.
Need a commercial license? Reach out and we'll connect you with the artist to arrange sync, sampling, or commercial-use terms directly — most artists here are happy to talk. Email Thomas@woahmusic.com with the track name and what you're making.
For artists. You choose the price and always keep ownership of your work. The standard buyer license above applies to every sale; anything beyond it stays fully in your control.
Prototype summary — commercial licensing flows can be built into the platform later (tiered licenses are a common upsell: personal / commercial / exclusive).
Terms of Service
The short, honest version of how WOAH Music works.
1 · The service. WOAH Music is a marketplace where independent artists sell original music directly to listeners. By using the site you agree to these terms; if you sell music here, the Artist Agreement also applies.
2 · Your account. You're responsible for your account and keeping your password safe. You must be at least 13 to use WOAH, and at least 18 (or have a guardian's consent) to sell.
3 · Purchases. Prices are set by artists and shown at checkout. A purchase grants you a personal-use license to the track, delivered in the formats the artist offers (FLAC, WAV and/or MP3) — you own your copy, the artist keeps the copyright. Because downloads are delivered instantly, sales are generally final; contact us about defective files and we'll make it right.
4 · What you can't do. No reselling or redistributing purchased tracks, no uploading music you don't own, no scraping the catalog, no using the platform for anything unlawful, and no interfering with the service or other users.
5 · Content & copyright. Artists are solely responsible for what they upload. We respond to valid DMCA notices at Thomas@woahmusic.com and terminate repeat infringers.
6 · The service is provided "as is." We work hard to keep WOAH online and fast, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
7 · Changes. We may update these terms as the platform evolves; continued use after notice of changes means you accept them. Questions? Thomas@woahmusic.com.

Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
What we collect. Your email and account details when you sign up; your order history and delivery email when you buy; the tracks, artwork and payout details artists provide when they sell; and basic technical data (browser type, pages visited) to keep the site working and secure.
Payments. Card payments are handled by our payment processor. Your card number never touches WOAH's servers — we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.
How we use it. To deliver your purchases, pay artists, provide receipts, respond to support requests, prevent fraud, and improve the platform. If you opt in, we'll email you about new releases — every email has an unsubscribe link.
What we never do. We don't sell your personal data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't send marketing you didn't ask for.
Sharing. We share data only with the services that make WOAH run — payment processing, file hosting and delivery, and email — and when the law requires it.
Cookies. We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and your cart working. No third-party ad trackers.
Your rights. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing Thomas@woahmusic.com. We keep order records only as long as tax and accounting rules require. WOAH isn't directed at children under 13.
